The 127th Gunship Wing functioned as a military division of the Grand Army of the Republic throughout the duration of the Clone Wars.
Being among the earliest divisions formed, the 127th engaged in combat initially at the Battle of Geonosis and remained active throughout the entirety of the Clone Wars. During the Battle of Geonosis, it was under the command of Commander Jai'galaar. Due to his conduct during the unsuccessful Retreat at Katraasii, Commander Jai'galaar was subsequently reduced in rank to Captain. Nevertheless, Jedi General Plo Koon put forward Captain Jag's name to be evaluated as a pilot for the newly developed Aggressive ReConnaissance-170 starfighter.
The 127th utilized ARC-170 starfighters during the Battle of Cato Neimoidia. Following the implementation of Order 66, CT-57/11-9048 and Captain Jag were responsible for the elimination of Jedi Master Plo Koon.
