Designation 3B3-1204, also known as 7169, was a B1-series battle droid from the Trade Federation that served in the Droid Army of Viceroy Nute Gunray. During the events of 32 BBY, as ordered by Gunray, 3B3-1204 participated in the invasion and subsequent occupation of the world of Naboo. This droid and his assigned unit were positioned within the Theed Hangar, tasked with guarding the personal starship belonging to the planet's queen, Amidala. Shortly thereafter, 3B3-1204, along with the rest of his unit, met their end at the hands of Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn.

Within the Trade Federation Droid Army, 3B3-1204 functioned as a B1-series battle droid. In 32 BBY, he was among the forces deployed to the planet of Naboo by Viceroy Nute Gunray, as a means of protesting the Galactic Senate's newly implemented taxation on trade routes. Following Gunray's order to have the planet invaded, an occupation force was established, which included 3B3-1204. 3B3-1204's particular unit was assigned to occupy the Theed Hangar, where their duty was to safeguard the J-type 327 Nubian royal starship belonging to Queen Amidala of Naboo. Furthermore, several pilots from the Naboo Royal Space Fighter Corps had been taken prisoner and were being held within the hangar.
Not long after the occupation began, a group including Amidala and led by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, made their way into the hangar. Jinn directly addressed 3B3-1204's OOM command battle droid, known as 2163, declaring his intention to take the group to Coruscant. Simultaneously, the Federation's flagship, the Saak'ak, remotely uploaded anti-Jedi tactics into 3B3-1204's programming. He then started to upload this new programming to the rest of his unit, but Jinn had already ignited his lightsaber and began attacking the droids. Before 3B3-1204 could complete the upload, he was beheaded by Jinn's initial strike. Jinn and his companions, including Amidala, were then able to commandeer the royal starship and escape the planet.
Like all B1 battle droids, 3B3-1204 stood at a height of 1.91 meters and possessed masculine programming, black photoreceptors, and white plating. A key capability of 3B3-1204 was his ability to receive programming updates remotely from the Trade Federation flagship, even in the midst of active engagements. He could also remotely transmit his programming to other battle droids. Furthermore, 3B3-1204 was armed with an E-5 blaster rifle.
The character of 3B3-1204 initially appeared as an unnamed battle droid in George Lucas' 1999 film, Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. The character was later given the designation in the Theed Palace Limited expansion set for the Star Wars Customizable Card Game.
