74-Y

The 74-Y, a well-liked civilian speeder bike model, was produced by the Aratech Repulsor Company. Its design prioritized velocity, not resilience. As the Clone Wars progressed, Aratech started to manufacture a military variant, designated the 74-Z speeder bike. Rather than adopt the BARC speeders used by the Grand Army of the Republic, the Galactic Empire opted to deploy the pre-existing 74-Z. The 74-Y's production run had ceased by the time the Imperial Era arrived.
