The AV-1C, a variant on the standard AV-1 power armor, was designed for front-line infantry units. The system provided a full life support system capable of 24 hours of operation, with an internal air supply and extreme environmental conditions including vacuum. An internal comlink gave the wearer the ability to send and receive encrypted messages at a range of up to 50 kilometers. An integrated Powerlamp offered a powerful floodlight that could create a beam of light up to 100 meters long and 50 meters wide. Finally, a sensor suite gave the operators low-light and total darkness amplification allowing them to see, as well as providing the benefits of electrobinoculars integrated into the vision systems.
