Aeon Engine

During the Imperial era, Darth Vader would rediscover the Aeon Engine, and reunite it with the Bright Star in an attempt to revive his dead wife, Padmé Amidala, no matter the cost. He almost succeeded, but a descendant of Lady Corvax thwarted his plans by driving the lightsaber of the Black Bishop into the Bright Star and Aeon Engine, destroying both of the mystical objects and damaging the saber.

Emperor Palpatine later learned of Vader's failed attempt, and remarked that if such a device were recreated, it would undoubtedly prove very useful in the hands of the Sith.
