During the last year of the Clone Wars, the Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano utilized the fighter in the Battle of Cato Neimoidia. The Eta-2 was flown by Tano when she and her Master Anakin Skywalker engaged Separatist warships in Cato Neimoidia's orbit. She then lead a squadron of Z-95 Headhunters down to the surface alongside her master, followed closely by LAATs for ground defense.
On their way down to the surface, Tano and Skywalker got involved in a dog fight against a trio of droid tri-fighters. The trio fired missiles at the two Jedi, with Tano narrowly avoiding the projectiles. The projectiles dispensed buzz droids which collided with Skywalker's ship, causing the droids to infest and severely damage the ship.
Seeing that Skywalker's fighter was going down Tano decided to help him get out of his cockpit. Instructing Skywalker's astromech R2-D2 to land the ship on a stretch of land up ahead, Tano left control of the ship in the hands of R7-A7 while she helped him successfully evacuate the fighter.
The starfighter was piloted by Ahsoka Tano, who also functioned as its captain. Tano's astromech droid R7-A7 functioned as the ship's repairer should it be damaged in open combat.
Ahsoka Tano's Eta-2 Actis-class interceptor's first and only appearance was "Sabotage," the seventeenth episode of the fifth season of the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
