With the escort ships engaged in their pursuit of the Visseon II, a flight of T-6 X-wing starfighters, accompanied by several shuttles, emerged from hyperspace in front of the Imperial transports. The X-wings promptly destroyed on transport and ordered the others to shut down their engines and prepare to be boarded. The shuttles delivered commandoes to the transports, capturing them and their contents.
The escort vessels, trading shots with the Visseon II, eventually realized what was happening to the convoy and broke off their attack on the cruiser to assist. The X-wings delayed the Imperial escorts long enough for the transports to jump to lightspeed. With no transports to protect, the Imperial escorts disengaged and fled. The Alliance captured fourteen transports with no losses.
