On the way to the spaceport, Keioidian was critically wounded and was left behind by his squad as they pushed on to continue the mission.
In 3640 BBY, Amden vor Keioidian was a male individual who held the rank of corporal in the Republic Army and was assigned to Sergeant Shanra Immel's squad. That same year, during the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire, Keioidian and his squad were paired with Republic Special Forces Division Colonel Jace Malcom during a battle on Kalandis Seven, a desolate Inner Rim planet.
During the course of the battle, Keioidian and the squad were tasked with the destruction of a local Imperial-controlled spaceport. On the way to the spaceport, Keioidian was wounded when he and the squad were attacked by members of the Imperial Military. Immel attempted to heal his wounds with an autodoc, but the device labeled Keioidian's condition as critical. She and Colonel Malcom briefly had a disagreement about whether or not to activate Keioidian's med tracer, a device that would allow Republic forces to circle back later and pick up any wounded soldiers. However, activating one ran the inherent risk of Imperial forces picking up on the transmission and killing the wounded before there was any chance of rescue.
Ultimately, Immel elected to activate the tracer and ordered the squad to move out, leaving Keioidian behind. Before departing, Colonel Malcom told the corporal that he had made both the squad and the Republic proud and promised that the group would be back for him.
Amden vor Keioidian appeared in Alexander Freed's short story "The Last Battle of Colonel Jace Malcom," which was published in the 137th issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine on October 23, 2012.
