Leia orders Han to bargain with fellow pilot Hera Syndulla for rations that hungry Ewoks might enjoy.
Following the Battle of Endor, the Ewoks are preparing for a feast, having gathered various fruits, vegetables, and carbohydrates. The Ewoks have also captured several Imperial stormtroopers to cook for their feast. A gleeful Han Solo and Chewbacca are watching and decide not to intervene, but they are interrupted by a displeased Princess Leia Organa, who chastises them for letting the Ewoks cook the enemy. Solo responds that he and Chewbacca have just arrived, and he is jokingly unsure when Organa asks if he is going to stop the Ewoks.
With Solo unwilling to intervene, Organa tells one of the Ewoks that they must let the Imperials go and treat the enemy fairly. The Ewok responds by striking a stormtrooper with his ladle. Organa stops the Ewok and tells Solo and Chewbacca that the creatures are clearly hungry, instructing the pair to go to General Hera Syndulla's camp and obtain a crate of ration sticks to placate the Ewoks and save the stormtroopers' lives. Organa stays behind to keep the stormtroopers safe. Reluctantly, Solo accedes to Organa's request.
Syndulla's starship, the Ghost, and Solo's Millennium Falcon are parked beside each other in a forest clearing. Accompanied by R2-D2 and Chewbacca, Solo visits Syndulla as she and Chopper are unloading supplies from the Ghost. Solo tells her that he needs snacks for the Ewoks, explaining that he needs to stop the creatures from cooking stormtroopers. Syndulla agrees to give him the ration sticks only if he admits that the Ghost is a superior ship to the Falcon. In an effort to placate Syndulla and Organa, Solo swallows his pride and concedes according to her terms.
Satisfied, General Syndulla allows him to take the rations. Chewie helps himself to a ration stick, which Solo slaps from his hand. Back at the Ewok camp, Organa is involved in a tug-of-war with an Ewok who is attempting to roast a stormtrooper alive. Solo, Chewie, and R2-D2 arrive just in time with crates of ration sticks, which the Ewoks gratefully accept. Organa is pleased with the outcome and credits Syndulla for saving the day. When Solo asks about his contribution, Organa jokingly assures him that nobody believes the Ghost is a superior ship to the Falcon, to which Solo is relieved.
