It was first identified in "Ando: Planet of the Walrus Men," a "Planet Hoppers" article written by Cory J. Herndon for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game and published on July 3, 2003. The Essential Atlas, a reference book written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace and released on August 18, 2009, placed the Ando system, and therefore Andando, in grid square Q-15.
