He studied oil painting and figure drawing in New York City and Paris from 1983 to 1989. He owns an art school in Santa Fe where he teaches painting and life drawing.
He was part of the group of artists who made artworks for the 2010 artbook Star Wars Art: Visions. His artwork was named Pia.
