In 14 BBY, the Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis discovered some arcetron in the Ice Caves on the planet Zeffo and kept it for making modifications to his former master's lightsaber.
In the current Star Wars canon, arcetron appeared in the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developed by Respawn Entertainment. In the game, it is one of the twenty-four materials players can collect in order to customize the appearance of Cal Kestis' lightsaber. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, arcetron first appeared in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Obi-Wan, developed by LucasArts. It would later be identified in the 2006 reference book The New Essential Guide to Droids, written by Daniel Wallace.
