The Archer was a Tector-class Star Destroyer that was used by the navy of the Galactic Republic near the end of the Clone Wars. It was produced by Kuat Drive Yards and measured one mile in length. By the time when the Confederacy of Independent Systems deactivated its Droid Army in 19 BBY, thereby ending the Clone Wars, the father of the future Galactic Empire stormtrooper Isila Drutch was serving aboard the Archer. Drutch mentioned that fact in their 33 ABY memoirs, in which they characterized the starship as one of the "old" Tector-class Star Destroyers.
The Archer was introduced in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.
