When the Fifth Brother was young, the Galactic Senate decided that his homeworld would be stripped of its resources in order to save lives, and the resulting exploitation, which itself also cost lives, left Artemesium ruined. Sometime between 12 BBY and 11 BBY, as the Fifth Brother received a mission from The Grand Inquisitor to travel to Murkhana City on the Outer Rim Territories planet Murkhana and retrieve the schematics for a cloaking device known as the Shroud, he reflected on his past on Artemesium and the planet's fate.
Artemesium was mentioned in the 2023 novel Jedi: Battle Scars, written by Sam Maggs.
