Arthurians looked very much like humans. As such, they were bipedal and in possession of an upright posture, two arms, two legs, hands, feet, one thorax, a neck and a head. However, they could be distinguished by their grayish-blue skin. More significantly, they had taste buds in their hands.
Arthurians attached great importance to proper etiquette. For example, eye contact was only allowed while speaking. Due to the presence of taste buds in their hands, Arthurians wore gloves at all times when in public, except when eating. Therefore, they regarded utensils as insulting. In their culture, white was a color of respect worn only by authorities.
Arthurians hailed from a world named Arthuria.
At the time of the Clone Wars, the Arthurians were neutral, neither affiliated with the Galactic Republic or the Confederacy of Independent Systems. At one point during the conflict, however, they deemed the Confederacy rude and disrespectful, which prompted them to start negotiating an alliance with the Republic. It was Padmé Amidala, senator of Naboo in the Galactic Senate of the Republic, who was put in charge of the negotiations.
Arthurians were first mentioned in the Star Wars Forces of Destiny episode "The Imposter Inside." However, they were not revealed to specifically be a species until their first appearance in the comic adaptation.
