In 3 ABY, the Unbroken Clan carried out an attack on a spice run that was being undertaken by the Mourner's Wail Syndicate at the Smugglers' Refueling Station in the Kessel sector.
Following a bombing on Chorgad, in which a number of Unbroken Clan soldiers were killed, the Clan's General Vukorah sought to avenge those lost by attacking the Mourner's Wail, even without the approval of the Clan's Grand Leader. Vukorah and four soldiers traveled to the Smugglers' Refueling Station where forces of the Mourner's Wail, led by an Iktotchi criminal and accompanied by two Pyke sentinels, were attempting to load spice onto a ship so it could be taken to their distributors. The group were running late and the Iktotchi insisted they hurry as the syndicate's leader, Khamdek, was not known for his patience.
Immediately after, Vukorah and her soldiers revealed themselves and killed the individuals transporting the spice and the Pykes whilst Vukorah declared that the spice would not arrive to its distributors and that the Clan would be taking the spice. The Iktotchi responded but before they could finish, Vukorah killed them with a shot to the face.
In response to the attack on its spice run, the Mourner's Wail bombed an Unbroken Clan district on Caviness IV, which resulted in the deaths of twenty-seven adults and several children being wounded.
