During the First Jedi Purge, Azkul brought the group to the grassy, strategically-placed yet thinly-populated Outer Rim world of Dantooine. Once there, they accepted a contract with the Exchange to take over the Khoonda government by killing Administrator Terena Adare and Khoonda Militia Captain Zherron. While they were preparing to attack, a squad, under orders from Azkul, intercepted and captured the Jedi Master Vrook Lamar, who had gone into the sublevel of the ruined Jedi Enclave.
When the Jedi Exile freed Lamar from confinement within one of the organization's encampments in the local kinrath cave, the order to attack was given. With the assistance of the Exile and Lamar, however, the mercenary attack was unsuccessful, with virtually the entire organization wiped out.
Though the group does not carry an actual name, dialogue with various characters within the computer and video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords makes it clear that the group is under Azkul's undisputed leadership.
If the player, as the Exile, takes the dark path throughout the game, then the Exile will instead help Azkul and his mercenaries kill the Administrator and Zherron, ensuring the Exchange's firm control of the planet. Later, a band of mercenaries led by Azkul will show up to aid the Exile against the Sith during the Battle of Telos IV.
