In 231 BBY, the Galactic Republic and Jedi Order's Unified Republic Task Force fought a battle against the Nihil pirates on the Outer Rim celestial body Port Haven. The battle—part of the Republic and Jedi's Operation Counterstrike against the Nihil as a result of their attack on the Republic Fair on the Outer Rim planet Valo—ended with a major victory for the Unified Task Force. During a meeting that same year, the Jedi stationed aboard the space station Starlight Beacon were informed of the victory on Port Haven—as well as victories on the celestial bodies Aris and Golrath—by Jedi High Council member Stellan Gios.
