Berch Teller's warship

Characteristics

A capital ship with neither a name or a registered signature, the warship was a downsized version of a Providence-class Dreadnought belonging to the Confederacy of Independent Systems, well-known for jamming signals and destroying HoloNet relays during the Clone Wars, and modified with modules taken from other Separatist frigates and destroyers. It mostly resembled a Quarren Free Dac Volunteer Corps's Providence carrier.

Parts of the ship's sensor array tower, mounted forward, originally belonged to the cruiser Lucid Voice, while its modules had been part of Admiral Trench's Invincible, which were recovered and put on the market after the Battle of Christophsis. Armed with turbolasers and ion cannons, its weapons were operated by computer-controlled droids, as it had been retrofitted with a rudimentary droid-control computer, similar to those found in Lucrehulk-class Battleship from the Trade Federation. As a result, it could be used by crew of merely thirty sentients, and deploy Variable Geometry Self-Propelled Battle Droid, Mark Is in its attacks.

History

Assembled at shipyards in the Bajic sector, jointly owned and operated by the Tenloss Syndicate and lower-level members of the Crymorah Syndicate, the warship was constructed as a medley of modules, components, turbolasers, and ion cannons acquired by its assemblers from Imperial surplus depots, deep-space salvagers, smugglers, and others in the business of selling stolen parts and proscribed armaments.

In 14 BBY, it was used by Berch Teller's rebel cell to mount an attack on Sentinel Base, during Moff Wilhuff Tarkin's stay. Following Teller and his team's abandonment over Carida of Tarkin's corvette, the Carrion Spike, they used the warship weeks later as they waited for news from the Carrion Spikes mission through the Gulf of Tatooine.
