Blythe was an Abyssin male who was the father of the human Forvan. The two were members of the Colony of Kezarat in No-Space, which Blythe was the captain of. Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, Blythe was present on a that rescued an elite squad from the Rebel Alliance, which had encountered Killdroids whilst in No-Space. After the rebels entered the ship, Blythe greeted the "news" over a speaker and told them they would need their weapons. When Captain Amilyn Holdo replied that they could not give them away, Blythe understood it as their decision, but then stated it would be their decision to vent the air lock the rebels were in if did not to throw their weapons out of the ship's magnetic shield. The rebels then complied with the request, and Holdo informed Blythe they were now defenseless, before asking what would happen next.
Blythe welcomed the rebels to the Colony of Kezarat, and they discovered they were headed towards the Kezarat tanker. General Leia Organa thanked Blythe saving their lives and stated the rebels would give whatever they could in return, but stated they needed to understand where they were and why they could not leave as they needed to return home. Blythe responded that they were in No-Space where normal rules didn't apply, and then informed them that people sometimes made their way to No-Space and started off as "news" and then eventually became "olds," adding that no one had found a way out in over two centuries. Blythe then finished by telling the rebels that they instead of going home, they should get used to one idea, before opening a door and revealing themselves and telling the rebels No-Space was now their home. He shared his name with the Blythe family.
