Boorka's Palace

Description

Boorka's Palace was a building owned by the Hutt crime lord Boorka, constructed near the city Mos Osnoe on the planet Tatooine. It was cylindrical in shape with a gray roof, with four towers placed around the building.

History

Boorka used the palace as his base of operations during the galaxy-spanning conflict known as the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. In the year 22 BBY, in the early stages of the war, Boorka met with General Sev'rance Tann of the Separatists to discuss a deal between Boorka and the Confederacy. The Hutt had valuable information relating to the Decimator, a secret Republic superweapon which he was selling to the Separatists in exchange for the destruction of a Republic spaceport interfering with the profits of the Hutt Cartel, the organization to which Boorka belonged. When the Separatists destroyed the spaceport Boorka was able to expand his influence on Tatooine, attracting the attention of the Republic Army, under the command of Jedi General Echuu Shen-Jon, who was told of Boorka's actions by his Hutt rival, Jabba Desilijic Tiure. The Republic attacked Boorka's palace, and killed the Hutt.

The Republic Army also destroyed Boorka's Palace.

Behind the scenes

Boorka's Palace appears in the 2002 LucasArts video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns. The palace appears in two levels, the first is the third level of the Separatist campaign, "Perilous Dealings," where the player meets with Boorka at his palace. In the third level of the Republic campaign, "Never trust a Hutt," the player has the option of destroying Boorka's palace while completing the optional objective to defeat the Hutt. The palace is also identical to the model for Jabba's Palace used in the same game.
