Brainworm Rot Type C

Brainworm Rot Type C was one of the three variations of the airborne hive virus disease known as the Brainrot Plague or the Brainworm Rot. The disease targeted cephalopods and humanoids, affecting their central nervous system and causing nausea, sweating, impaired communication ability, and—if untreated by immunization—a swift death.

The sentient Neimoidian species served as a carrier of the virus, and by 6 ABY it had been sarcastically claimed for years that the disease was "principal export" of the Neimoidians' homeworld, the Colonies planet Neimoidia. By that year, so many cases of Brainworm Rot Type C had been reported that Neimoidia had been placed under official quarantine, a fact noted in the 6 ABY edition of the author Ebenn Q3 Baobab'a book the Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide.
