Brigadier General was a high commissioned military rank used by the Galactic Republic and Galactic Empire that was senior to a colonel. Republic Colonel Meebur Gascon had dreams of being promoted to Brigadier General, which he eventually obtained. Nevar of the Imperial Army held the rank during the Battle of Hoth in 3 ABY.
