It is possible that Broken Gate also utilized joint locking techniques, as Jedi Master Ilena Xan, the unarmed combat instructor at the Jedi Temple, was a specialist in joint locking. Padawan Tallisibeth Enwandung-Esterhazy, one of Ilena Xan's students, was also known for being skilled in joint locking.
