During this time, this Master chose Byrch Dyshkava, a Human, to be his Padawan. Together, they journeyed throughout the galaxy for many years, carrying out assignments for the Jedi High Council.
On their journey mission, the Master observed that Padawan Dyshkava was becoming increasingly ambitious and tended to overestimate his abilities. Determining that Dyshkava needed a test of his skills, the Master assigned him his first solo mission: to assist with negotiations on a remote planet. This mission was designed to challenge him mentally and emotionally, while posing minimal physical danger. Dyshkava could have sought his Master's assistance to complete the mission; however, the arrogant Human was injured when a group of terrorists attacked the negotiations hall. He succumbed to the dark side of the Force in order to finish the task. The Master patiently awaited Dyshkava's return, but the young man never came back to his mentor. The Jedi Master, along with other members of the Order, including Grand Master Yoda, searched for the wayward Dyshkava, but he disappeared without a trace.
