CD-5502 was a human stormtrooper in the First Order. In 34 ABY, CD-5502 was deployed to Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu as part of a squad based off the Star Destroyer Penumbra and led by Lieutenant Wulfgar Kath to track down the Resistance operative known as Starling. Wearing standard First Order stormtrooper armor, CD-5502 and the other troopers were patrolling the market streets of the outpost when a local merchant named Gol approached them, wishing to report intelligence on Resistance movement. Gol proceeded to describe that he suspected his former employee of joining the Resistance. Although Lieutenant Kath did not think much of the information, he ordered CD-5502 to record Gol's description of the employee and search the outpost for her.
