The CIS credit was the currency for many Separatist worlds and introduced by the InterGalactic Banking Clan. The IGBC had signed a non-exclusivity pact with the Confederacy of Independent Systems, which allowed the Banking Clan to continue operations within Republic financial circles and bolster the value of the CIS credit. After the Battle of Bassadro the CIS credit held more than 50 percent of the value of a standard Republic credit in the Mid Rim and was the exclusive currency of hundreds of Outer Rim worlds.
