Following the Battle of Yavin, Caleb Shoma served as a major and was stationed in a prison facility within the hidden Rebel base on Corellia. In 1 ABY, the Alliance captured and imprisoned six Imperial officers in this facility. During the Empire Day festivities of the same year, Emperor's Hand Mara Jade employed a group of loyal Imperial spacers to rescue the officers. The Imperial operatives attacked the prison facility and killed Caleb Shoma during the assault. One of the Imperial spacers then took his uniform so that one of the Imperial officers could sneak out of the base in the disguise.
Caleb Shoma was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. Caleb Shoma was added to the game with the release of the "Game Update 11," published on June 23, 2009, and was present in the game during the Empire Day events of 2009, 2010 and 2011.
