The planet Harswee, a Mandalorian world located in the Mandalore sector, was known for luxurious loom-woven rugs. The Coronet, the personal starliner of Duchess Satine Kryze of the New Mandalorians, made extensive use of Harswee carpeting. The Mandalorian leader known as Mandalore the Binder hailed from Harswee, where he grew up as the son of one of the world's rug weavers.
Residences of Tatooine were known to create handwoven carpets.
Wookiees were often derogatorily referred to as "carpet-bags" during the Clone Wars. They were also referred to as "walking carpets" under a similarly derogatory manner, notably being used towards the Wookiee Chewbacca.
"Red carpet" was a slang term used by some members of the Rebel Alliance to describe a large quantity of explosives.
