Both oceans were collectively home to an abundance of marine life, including numerous aquatic creatures of which some were small, corals, and a large variety of aquatic plants. Both the Akwin and the native Human population, the Lazerians, relied on the marine life for food, with the latter partaking in fishing. They were also rich in minerals that blocked sensor scans, which hid the Akwin that resided in various city-states on the ocean floor.
