Chirodactyl

Chirodactyls, also known as Dathomirian bats, were a species of winged carnivorous creatures native to the planet Dathomir. One chirodactyl known as Gorgara was especially notorious among the natives of the planet. The strongest Nightbrothers were tested in a rite of passage that consisted of venturing into these creatures' territory.

Chirodactyls first appeared in the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developed by Respawn Entertainment. During development, inspiration for the design of the chirodactyls was found in bats and owls. Chirodactyl concept art was done by artist Jean-Francois Rey.
