Commandant

Commandant was a title given to overseers of prison camps and Imperial Academies.

During the Clone Wars, Osi Sobeck was a commandant in the Confederacy of Independent Systems who served as the warden of the Citadel, a major prison located on the planet Lola Sayu. Toward the end of the Galactic Civil War, Camp Sardo's labor facilities in Kashyyyk's Imperial territory G5-623 were run by Commandant Theodane Sardo. Imperial Commadandant Stradd was captured by Norra Wexley's Imperial hunters around the same time.

The president of the Royal Imperial Academy on Coruscant in the Galactic Empire's early years was Commandant Deenlark. Cumberlayne Aresko carried the title in his duties as an officer at the Imperial Academy on Lothal, the Academy for Young Imperials. Brendol Hux, overseer of the Arkanis Academy, also carried the title and established a secretive group known as the Commandant's Cadets. Hux retained his title of commandant as part of an Imperial remnant on the Shadow Council.
