A terrestrial planet, Cophrigin V was a planet of forested mountains and grassy plains. Isolated in its star system, the world attracted Jedi Master An'ya Kuro due to its peaceful vistas and quiet retreats. Sporting no notable colony or civilization, the planet remained out of galactic affairs and played little part in the many wars and conflicts which engulfed the galaxy.
Home to no notable sentient races, Cophrigin V was inhabited by a species of simian-like and goat-like beasts which inhabited the forested hills and grassy plains respectively. The world also was home to a rare species of flower on the verge of extinction at the height of the Galactic Civil War.
Located in space discovered by the Galactic Republic between 5,000 and 1,000 BBY, Cophrigin V was originally located in space controlled by the empire of Xim the Despot. Cophrigin V was later located in space controlled by the Sith Empire during the Jedi Civil War.

Despite its isolation, fugitive Jedi Master An'ya Kuro remembered her old meditative retreat and established a residence on the isolated world; constructing an extensive garden following the disbanding of the Jedi Order and the start of the Great Jedi Purge. Despite the world's lack of importance, Imperial agent Mara Jade was able to track Kuro to the planet nearly two decades after she disappeared. Emperor Palpatine, the Sith Lord controlling the Empire, dispatched his apprentice Darth Vader to slay the Jedi and drive the Order closer to extinction.
When Vader arrived on the world, he quickly located Kuro's home to find the Jedi Master awaiting him. Entering into a lightsaber duel, the Sith and Jedi fought fiercely, despite Kuro's age. While the Jedi Master was an advanced swordsman, Vader was able to maintain his energy while Kuro slowed down. Crushing the woman under a tree, Vader was able to land a killing blow, but was ultimately robbed of a true victory. Through her mastery of the Force, Kuro was able to transcend death and maintain her consciousness while her physical body disappeared. Returning as a shadow of herself, Kuro reminded Vader that the light side of the Force was stronger than the Sith and that the Order would return, despite the current darkness in the galaxy.
