Young Luke Skywalker zooms around Tatooine in his landspeeder and must make a deal with some Jawas when his joyride goes awry.
Lando Calrissian enters a shop on Mos Eisley as the ground begins to shake. Outsides a crowd watches Luke Skywalker, C-3PO and R2-D2 arriving in an X-34 landspeeder while playing music. Calrissian is visibly annoyed by their loud music and tells them to leave. Skywalker and his droids depart on their landspeeder, leaving dust and smoke in their wake.
Traveling into the desert, Luke races a Jawa sandcrawler, running circles around the larger vehicle. While distracted, Skywalker's speeder hits a rock, causing the vehicle to hit the ground and break into smaller bricks. Luke and his occupants are unharmed but Luke is upset. One of the Jawas laughs.
Luke later comes to an arrangement with the Jawas. In return for attaching a repulsor engine to the sandcrawler, the Jawas rebuild his wrecked landspeeder as a much larger vehicle. After the Jawas depart, Luke and the droids climb into the enlarged landspeeder and depart.
