Cubes were used as accommodation in residential section of Burnout, a space station in orbit of the planet Zham Hlar. During the Clone Wars, the Trandoshan Xirossk, a Thaereian Intelligence officer posted to Burnout, lived in one such cube.
There were cubes located in the resiplex apartment complexes of the first Death Star, a battle station built by the Galactic Empire. The Mirialan architect Teela Kaarz lived in cube number 24556, of Resiplex 19 and Sprawl 20.
