Dagobah Slug Slinger was a cocktail with a strong alcoholic base. It could be sweetened with either the slime of its namesake, the Dagobah swamp slug, or with an imitation syrup, Dagobah Slug Syrup. It was served at Oga's Cantina in Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu in 34 ABY. The human spy Vi Moradi drank the beverage there before she attempted to recruit for the Resistance. Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs included recipes for the cocktail and syrup in his cookbook The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook.
The Dagobah Slug Slinger was a green-colored cocktail named after swamp slugs, a native species of the swamp planet Dagobah. The large slugs secreted saccharine slime with fragrant notes from the herbs they had digested, and the slime was used to sweeten desserts and drinks. The cocktail's combination of sweet and herbaceous slime plus a tart citrus juice base masked its strong alcoholic content, which was said to have a stronger kick than a master of the martial art Teräs Käsi. The drink was garnished with a sprig of an herb.
The cocktail was served at Oga's Cantina in Black Spire Outpost on the Outer Rim planet Batuu in 34 ABY. The cantina sweetened the drink with slime from swamp slugs that lived in tanks along the bar back.
One night in 34 ABY, Vi Moradi, a human female and Resistance spy, visited the cantina with her Batuuan coworkers after her first day's work for Savi & Son Salvage. Following her coworker Ylena's recommendation, Moradi started the night by imbibing a Dagobah Slug Slinger. After she bought the second round of drinks, she unsuccessfully attempted to recruit her new acquaintances for the Resistance.
Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs created an imitation syrup, Dagobah Slug Syrup, to use as a slime substitute when lacking a supply of slugs. In 34 ABY, Tuggs published his cookbook The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, which included recipes for his imitation syrup and the Dagobah Slug Slinger. The historian Eloc Throno included a photo of Dagobah Slug Slinger in Batuu guidebook, Traveler's Guide to Batuu, listing it as one of Oga's Cantina's offerings.
Dagobah Slug Slinger is one of the alcoholic beverages sold to customers in the real-world Oga's Cantina bar in the themed land Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. It was officially announced to the public on February 27, 2019 in an article on the website D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, and debuted for guests to purchase when the land opened in Disneyland Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2019. The menu's description reads, "Herradura Reposado Tequila, Bols Blue Curaçao, Citrus Juices, Ginger, Herbs, and Bitters."
An out-of-universe recipe for the cocktail is included in the 2019 recipe book Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, written by Marc Sumerak and Chelsea Monroe-Cassel. It is made with the ingredients Dagobah Slug Syrup, lime juice, orange juice, blue curaçao, tequila, and water. They are combined and shaken, then poured over ice and garnished with a sprig of rosemary.
The 2020 non-canon video game expansion The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu includes Dagobah Slug Slingers as a drink sold to the player's Sims at the Oga's Cantina vendor in the Black Spire Outpost neighborhood. Upon consuming the drink for the first time, the Sim automatically learns the recipe and can prepare it at mixology bars in their home neighborhood.
