In 3642 BBY, he was stationed on Quesh where he targeted a large crane and attempted to disrupt the Republic's mining efforts. While he attempted to complete his mission, he tasked an Imperial spacer to plant explosive charges on the columns supporting the crane outside of the Quesh Venom Refinery.
