Defense Hierarchy

The Defense Hierarchy, also known as the Chiss military command or Chiss command, was a military command of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force that consisted of its senior officers, including Admiral Ar'alani.

The Defense Hierarchy selected officers of the Chiss Defense Fleet to prove themselves in order to join their ranks in a manner analagous to how the Ruling Families selected merit adoptives. Those promoted to a senior rank were stripped of family name and privilege and made part of the Hierarchy in order that they may serve all Chiss without deference or prejudice.
