In 0 BBY, Belaya Rist, the Chief Executive Officer of CryonCorp and a Rebel Alliance sympathizer, witnessed the destruction of Alderaan from Delaya. In the aftermath of Alderaan's destruction, Rist invited the Alliance to hijack several shipments of her company's low-feedback scanners.
Delaya was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon by the 2016 sourcebook Forged in Battle, a supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game system.
