The Demon's Blood ritual was a tradition among the Tusken Raiders of Tatooine. For the ritual, members of the Jedi Order who were seeking enlightenment would track a sand demon out into the deserts in order to anoint themselves with its blood, and those Jedi who successfully returned then visited the Tusken Raiders in order to learn their own unique path to self-discovery.
During the Cold War, Nomen Karr's Padawan, Jaesa Willsaam was observed conducting a strange Jedi ritual at a Sand Demon cave by Darth Baras's spy Sharack Breev. Afterwards, Baras's apprentice was sent to Tatooine to find Jaesa Willsaam. The Sith Warrior was directed by Breev to Izzeebowe Jeef, who revealed that Willsaam had conducted the Demon's Blood ritual. Jeef informed the Sith apprentice to undertake the rite as well.
