Several days after the Battle of Endor, Luke Skywalker is on Endor, questioning why Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda have not reappeared to him. Leia and Han walk by and overhear him yelling into thin air, and Leia decides to speak with him.
Luke confesses that he is unsure of his place anymore—having learned in a short space of time that he is the last Jedi and that Leia is his sister—or how the Rebel Alliance will rebuild the galaxy, before saying that he's lonely. Leia comforts him that he'll always have his friends and family, and Luke agrees. Jokingly, he suggests that someday she and Han will have Jedi children for him to train. When Leia answers with a skeptical "maybe," the ghost of Yoda appears and gives Luke a wink.
