Dorsis was colonized long ago by Coruscanti sent out in sleeper ships and was quickly developed into a near-Ecumenopolis with most of its natural landscape covered with industrial centers and urban sprawls. The planet's main export and basis of economy was in quickly and inexpensively made general consumer goods. Dorsis supplied the majority of consumer outlets that catered to low-income families and individuals throughout the Corellian sector.
