The smuggler Ace and a Republic trooper was given a pair of boots of this make by the Cathar Yael whilst in Fort Garnik refugee camp on the planet Ord Mantell. Yael gave it to them as thanks for bringing her medicine stolen from her by members of the Mantellian Separatist Movement.
