This confrontation alarmed the Jedi High Council which decided to dedicate further resources to bring Sing to justice. The Council sent a small task force to locate her not long after.
J'Mikel discorvers Peerce
The infamous assassin Aurra Sing was known for murdering Jedi at various stages which at one point included Mana Veridi on Kwannot. Her actions concerned the Jedi High Council who decided that Sing needed to be captured. Jedi Master Peerce was assigned to hunt Sing down on Coruscant itself; Jedi Knight J'Mikel and his Padawan Xiaan Amersu were also assigned to the mission with Peerce.
The three Jedi searched for the assassin in the underworld close to the Temple District and after some time discovered a slain group of Republic Peace Officers. Discovering this scene prompted the Jedi Master to suggest splitting up in order to cover more ground. But the Jedi were unaware that Sing was still in the area and was stalking them; she sliced into Peerce (after he found a Duro officer in a different location) and then used cabling to hoist him up for the other Jedi to see before she engaged and impaled J'Mikel before stealing his lightsaber.
But Sing spared Amersu and promised her that the two would meet and engage each other again at some stage in the future when Amersu's abilities were further developed.
Xiaan Amersu was placed in the care in Jedi physicians to recover from what she saw while the High Council decided to assemble a team of Jedi to hunt Sing down and bring her to justice.
