On June 10, 2013, EA announced that DICE would be the developers behind Star Wars Battlefront, a new game part of the Battlefront series started by Pandemic Studios. The game released on November 16, 2015. 6 downloadable content packs were relased over the game's lifespan, those being:
- Star Wars Battlefront: Battle of Jakku; released December1 2015 (pre-orders), December 8 2015 (all players)
- Star Wars Battlefront: Outer Rim; released March 22, 2016 (season pass holders), April 5, 2016 (all players).
- Star Wars Battlefront: Bespin; released June 21, 2016
- Star Wars Battlefront: Death Star; released September 20, 2016
- Star Wars Battlefront: Rogue One: Scarif; released December 6, 2016
- Star Wars Battlefront: Rogue One: X-wing VR Mission; released December, 2016.
