The emergency evac fleet was an ad hoc fleet assembled in the final days of 137 ABY in order to assist the Galactic Alliance Remnant in evacuating the planet Dac following its poisoning by the Sith scientist Vul Isen. When word of Isen's actions spread across the galaxy, volunteers flocked to Stazi's banner in order to save the lives of the water world's residents.
The volunteers were fired upon by a Sith–Imperial fleet during the evacuation, but Alliance Admiral Gar Stazi ordered the Galactic Alliance Core Fleet to position themselves between the evac fleet and the Imperial forces. The arrival of the Alliance's allies, the Empire-in-exile, forced the Sith–Imperials to flee and allowed the evacuation to continue.
The evacuation fleet consisted of a multitude of different starships, including one Ardent-class fast frigate, several CR90 corvettes, an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate, a G9 Rigger-class light freighter, some GR-75 medium transports, one Immobilizer 418 cruiser, an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, several MC80 Liberty type Star Cruisers, a Venator-class Star Destroyer, one YX-1980 space transport—the Grinning Liar—and some YZ 3000 tankers.
