Epic Collection

Epic Collection is an imprint by Marvel Comics used to reprint large quantities of comics in trade paperback collections. Currently, ongoing Star Wars Legends Epic Collections are reprinting all the Legends comics put out by Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics, and other publishers. Each collection is curated to contain comics in chronological order, including stories from the Star Wars Tales line, Star Wars: Tag & Bink, and the Star Wars: Visionaries graphic novel, instead of being arranged thematically like the previous Star Wars Omnibuses from Dark Horse Comics. Some Epic Collections have been combined to create even larger hardcover Marvel Omnibuses. To date, the contents of all Epic Collections (and most Marvel Omnibuses featuring Legends material) have been assembled by Mike Hansen.

In May of 2023, it was announced that Marvel Comics would begin releasing Star Wars titles under their new Modern Era Epic Collection imprint. Unlike the previous Legends Epic Collections, these would begin reprinting Canon comics put out by Marvel Comics from 2015 onward. These Epic Collections are set to begin releasing in the summer of 2024.

Note: The Legends Epic Collection lines titled The Newspaper Strips, The Original Marvel Years, and The Rebellion all take place at the same time during the Original trilogy.
