The ability to cause mass destruction was not unique to a particular species or culture in the galaxy. Everywhere, there have always been minds dedicated to creating weapons of any kind, with the potential to destroy the maximum number of enemies at once. Whether on one side or the other, installed on a starship, fixed on a planetary site or as light portable devices, many of these weapons relied on highly volatile natural or artificial elements, which released energies that sometimes resulted difficult to handle by inexperienced hands.
