Ferentina lay on one side of the Andrevea River, and a wall was built up to block off the river. The town sat on two levels of a hill and was located in a mountain pass. Nearby was a bridge over the Andrevea River, and a road passed over the bridge to come out of a nearby tunnel and branch through the town. Many residential buildings were scattered throughout the town, and there was a central plaza with a clock tower. A security hangar, capable of holding aquatic, land, and air vehicles was also situated on the banks of the river. A canyon passage nearby led northward to Devils tower—a mysterious landmark—and other ancient ruins.
During the Invasion of Naboo in the year 32 BBY, the Trade Federation Droid Army attacked and destroyed Ferentina, which was serving as a refugee camp for Naboo civilians. Two Seraph-class urban landspeeders in the town became stuck behind a fallen tower. At the time of the attack, Lieutenant Gavyn Sykes of the Royal Naboo Security Forces was traveling in a captured Federation gunboat and leading a convoy of civilians he had rescued from the Trade Federation. The convoy became trapped near Ferentina when the bridge over the river was bombed. Sykes and the convoy entered the security hangar to switch vehicles.
Sykes then rescued the two trapped speeders from behind the tower, and he escorted the convoy survivors to a hidden location in the nearby mountain pass.
Ferentina appears during a mission of the 2000 video game Star Wars: Episode I: Battle for Naboo. If all the houseboats or speeders get destroyed, the mission fails. Two speeders are trapped behind a fallen tower in the mission, and the player has the option of rescuing them. The rescue is not necessary to win, but it is required for the "friendlies saved" score. This article assumes the player intervenes.
