Biography

Gathering on Ilum

Ganodi searching for her lightsaber crystal within the Crystal Caves.

As a Force-sensitive Rodian, Ganodi underwent training in the ways of the Force at the Jedi Temple located on Coruscant. With the outbreak of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, members of the Jedi Order found themselves compelled to serve within the ranks of the Grand Army of the Republic. Amidst the ongoing conflict, Ganodi distinguished herself as a prominent member of her clan and was selected to journey to the sacred Jedi world of Ilum to participate in the ancient rite known as The Gathering. Accompanied to Ilum by Padawan Ahsoka Tano, Ganodi, along with several other Initiates, convened with Grand Master Yoda within the Jedi temple situated at the entrance of the Crystal Caves.

Entering the caves to locate a crystal for her personal lightsaber, Ganodi was joined by fellow Initiate Gungi as they explored the winding passages. Discovering a vast underground lake, Gungi believed his crystal was on a frozen island in the lake's center. They separated, allowing the Wookiee to pursue his quest. Ganodi ventured deeper, becoming discouraged when she couldn't find any crystals. Frustrated, she questioned her mentors' decision to send her into the freezing caves, then she fell into a cave filled with crystals, and was struck by the fear she would not be able to find her own unique crystal most attuned to her. Despite her fear, Ganodi found hope in the Force and was guided to the correct crystal, revealing the others to simply be illusions created by the caves manipulation of her fears. After securing the crystal, she returned to the Temple, where Master Yoda praised her for finding hope in the Force.

Attack on the Crucible

Upon returning to the Crucible, Ganodi and the other younglings eagerly anticipated the next phase of their training: constructing their lightsabers. Aboard the vessel, they encountered Professor Huyang, an ancient droid responsible for teaching lightsaber construction. Ganodi expressed surprise that a droid could instruct them in a Jedi skill, but Huyang assured her of his proficiency. He presented the younglings with numerous lightsaber models and asked them to envision their own designs. They could only build their weapons once they could visualize them. However, their meditation and construction were disrupted by an unexpected attack from Hondo Ohnaka and his pirate gang.

Fortunately, Tano conceived a plan to disengage the ship from the pirates. Ganodi and Zatt followed her instructions, reaching the cockpit and working with R2-D2 to restore power. During the disengagement from the pirate ship, the Acushnet, Tano was caught in the vacuum's pull. Despite successfully removing all the pirates from the Crucible, she ended up aboard the Acushnet and was quickly captured.

Rescuing Ahsoka

After Hondo and his gang kidnapped Ahsoka, Ganodi and the younglings continued their training on the Crucible, successfully constructing their lightsabers, except for Katooni. Upon receiving a distress signal from Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ganodi followed Petro's lead in rescuing Ahsoka when the ship's coolant leaked. While the other younglings went on to rescue Ahsoka, Ganodi was indeed the only Youngling of the group to stay since she had attended pilot training.

Battle of Florrum

Following the Younglings' successful rescue of Ahsoka during an entertainment of Preigo's Traveling World of Wonder, Ganodi received instructions from Petro to prepare the ship for departure from Florrum. However, they were unable to escape when Ahsoka and the Younglings were pursued by Gwarm and a group of pirates who had picked up their trail. After the Crucible crashed, the pirates captured them. When General Grievous' droid army invaded the planet, Ahsoka and the younglings convinced them to free them and work together in rescuing Hondo Ohnaka.

Eventually, they located Hondo's cell, and Hondo asked the younglings to show him their lightsabers to assess their readiness for battle against the Separatists, but Katooni was the only one who didn't finish hers. After freeing the remaining prisoners, Ganodi and the younglings engaged the droid army in battle and escaped the planet aboard Slave I. Hondo returned the Younglings to friendly space, where Obi-Wan ensured their safety.
